Would you like to play with me? | WA Family Photographer

It’s Mother’s Day soon, and I have come up with a plan….. I want to thankyou all for being a part of Jo Ashworth Photography as a Mother’s Day gift to myself. As my flyer above says – I am offering one beautiful 16″ x 24″ canvas to one lucky Jo Ashworth Photography Client, delivered within Australia. You may choose an image from a past session, or keep it for a future session.

You have to tell me you want to play, and this is really easy. Just flick me an email, an FB message, or write a comment below, tell me next time you see me, or give me a call. I would of course love to hear what you have been up to since I saw you last so please feel free to add a few words as well. I shall choose the winner at random from everyone who comes to play and announce the winner on Monday 14th May.

I would love for you to share this with any of your friends, in case they have not seen or heard of my game.

If you aren’t already a Jo Ashworth Photography Client then you can quickly become one by buying a gift voucher or completing a ball photo order perhaps.

I can’t wait to hear from you all,

Jo x

The Donnellan Family | Jurien Bay Family Photographer

This is often the way life goes. Michelle organised for me to come and meet her family and spend time photographing them having fun, while I was at the coast on holidays. And then as chance would have it a couple of days before our session poor Astal copped a black eye, and Paul developed a cold sore. Why am I sharing this with you? because often there is never a perfect time, we Mums forget to lose those last few kilos, Dads run out of time to find a hairdresser, or number 1 sons fall off their motorbikes and graze their arm. And guess what, it doesn’t matter, because what is most important? You and your family – together.
I challenge you to look at just a glimpse of the Donnellan family images and tell me what you see. I bet it is not Astal’s eye, I bet it is more likely something to do with them enjoying being a family, being a family in the town they currently call home – Jurien Bay.

I set aside a couple of blocks of time while we are on our family holiday for me to share some time with families in the area. It was wonderful to play with the Donnellans for a couple of hours on a beautiful Jurien Bay summer evening.

Alyssa and Bob were gifted a voucher for a photo session with me that a dear friend of theirs had won at the Piawanning Quiz Night last year. Bob and Alyssa now live in Pingelly, so we met up at Alyssa’s parent’s home in the Perth hills. Oh my, the bush in the hills is just beautiful, it is so peaceful. It was a glorious break in a busy weekend in Perth for me. I met gorgeous Abbey and cute little Marcus, and we all had a lovely time amongst the tall trees.

Thankyou Bob and Alyssa for bringing your beautiful little family to meet me. I really enjoyed our little quiet couple of hours together, it was just what I needed. x

Brenton and Georgie | Lake Charlotte Wedding Photographer

A beautiful day for a quiet drive along Toodyay Road. The Road that led me to the calmness and joy that was to be Brenton and Georgie’s wedding day. We started with Brenton, and admired the very new patio at Brenton and Georgie’s house on a little block out of Toodyay. A perfect place for them to play with their horses, and pets and motorbikes; a perfect place for them to start the story of their lives together as a married couple.

Then a short drive to the other side of town to meet Georgie’s family. Her parents had travelled from Dubai to celebrate the big day.

The wedding ceremony and reception was all held at Lake Charlotte in Woorolloo. Such a beautiful location on a warm day, overlooking an inland lake.

A short ride in the HQ ute, Brenton’s pride and joy, second to Georgie of course, to frolic in the vines and paddock. Perfect for a country couple.

My mouth was tired from smiling and laughing all day, everyone just had so much fun.

Congratulations Brenton and Georgie, I loved my day with you all. A massive thankyou to Ngarie for coming along to help me, you are amazing! Just simply a beautiful day, topped off with a LONG chat at a reastaurant for dinner afterward. BLISS!

There is nothing better than a beautiful January evening, photographing a 3 generation family, especially when that 3rd generation someone is such a cutie! I get so much pleasure out of watching families interact, and knowing that you have come together especially for eachother just makes my day. Thankyou Marisa for inviting me over to spend a few hours with you all, I had a great time photographing everyone, and chatting, and more chatting.
