• Welcome to Jo Ashworth Photography

Hello, What is your story? Let me help me tell it for you. I am a family and wedding photographer based in the small wheatbelt town of Kalannie, I travel to Perth and throughout country WA to meet and share time with clients in their homes and surrounds. I will be a witness for you; soaking up your baby's newborn smell, enjoying your children's laughter, celebrating the years you have been together, and I will present to you a collection of images that are a precious reminder of those most important to you. I love photographing weddings, but only a limited number per year. I want to help tell you story, so until we meet, Jo

Caryn and Matt are getting married!!!

And they have asked me to be their wedding photographer, which I am very excited about. I met with them for their Beloved session; they have so much fun together, and obviously adore eachother very much. In a few weeks we shall all meet again, and celebrate their wedding, and have an absolute ball!

A Cadoux Family | Wongan Hills Family Photographer

Now, this is one amazing woman, I have a feeling she is driven, decisive, committed and loyal. Mum is opening a new pharmacy in Dalwallinu from scratch! All at the same time as being a wife of a farmer and a loving Mum to 2 beautiful little girls. I admire the support these two give eachother, whilst both following their dreams, they are wonderful role models to their daughters, girls who will grow into great women, I am sure.

In case you haven’t met her, here is your new local Dalwallinu Pharmacist, and her very supportive family.

Thank you so much guys for making the time for me to meet with your family for a couple of hours, All the very best for the nearing opening of the new pharmacy.

3 month old Patrick | Moora Family Photographer

Such a pleasure to head back to this family’s home to meet their new baby boy. We waited until Patrick was 3 months old so we could enjoy his gorgeous grin, beautiful wide blue eyes and lovely red hair. Such a cutie. You can see their family maternity session here.
And now this little family has grown:

So lucky to share a few more moments of your lives, thanks for having me again guys.

3 little men | Northam Family Photographer

Mum had contacted me a few months ago to organise for us to meet at their family farm.  We scheduled well in advance as there was the busy August field day period to contend with, and then there was a knocked out tooth… yes this is a boy family… that had to be fixed, and that was Dad!  Our rescheduled day arrived, I headed from bright sunny Kalannie toward Northam… into storm clouds.  I arrived with the rain.  And because we are all farmers you could barely wipe the smiles off our faces.  Win win for everyone really.

So, we had a cuppa while we waited for the showers to clear, then we went and played in the long wet grass, careful not to step in cow pats, and made use of the couple of cape tulips that had survived the weed wiper (I was happy about that).  Here they are in their paddock, with their cows wondering what we were up to.  Then the clouds broke for a few minutes and the sun shone beautiful golden light on us all.

After note –  4 days later we all had a wonderful finishing rain.

Thanks for having me guys, loved playing with you all.
